The Boat

Concept The boat is the 8-meter drop-keel DIDI 26. This boat is designed for being built by using plywood. Boatbuilder's plywood normally is made of tropical veneers. I use exclusively veneers from european oak and larch: The bulkheads are made out of oak, the hull of larch. This combination follows the tradition especially common in scandinavian countries. The plans are CAD-made and therefore very exact. So there is no need for further adjustmens. I built a huge table (2,5m x 1,3m) paited with white color to draw the bulkheads on.
